[Family:] Drake is the oldest of four children, two brothers and a baby sister. His father passed away when he was 15 from terminal cancer, and his mother (Julia Howell) still lives in Washington D.C, working at one of the bigger law-firms as a legal aide.

His brothers are Parker (20 years old) and Cliff (18 years old). His sister is Tabitha (16 years old).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Drake is trim, even if he has a good bit of muscle on his arm. However, when compared to others he still seems to come out on the small side of things. He stands at 5 feet eight inches without his boots, and about 5'11 with his heavy combat-boots on.

Originally his hair had been a light shade of brown, but now it is dyed black and bright, electric red. It is on the long side atop his head, with the hair underneath shaved into a buzz-cut. Wearing make-up always, the amount tends to vary between gigs (in which he is extremely painted up, with thick red and black around his eyes, with black-lip stick) and work at the local coffee shop (in which he just sticks with a little bit of eye-liner).

His bottom lip is pierced, right in the middle, along with his right eyebrow, his nose, and both ears. And if you thought that was enough, well…his tongue is pierced too. He hasn’t decided if he wants more yet, but mostly that is because he can’t decide where he would want them. And really, that isn’t as easy to decide as it sounds. Along with the piercings, Drake has a number of tattoos, from his back to his arms and one on his chest. They are simple, really…all black and not too garish. He wants to get “Rock Star” tattooed over his fingers (a letter on each finger) but has put it off thus far, waiting for his band to ‘make it big’ before going too bold

With vision that was on the worse end of poor, Drake wears thick, black framed glasses when his contacts need to be replaced. And for gigs he even uses costume contacts so that his eyes appear dramatic and nearly demonic.

He wears black pants that sag a bit on his hips, with a thick belt to hold them up, and then two more lapped over his waist and hips to add decoration. His feet clad usually heavy combat boots, while his shits range form black and grey tee-shirts with long sleeved, mesh undershirts, to just the mesh-see-through shirts and long black jackets.

He also can be spotted with an assortment of necklaces and spiked collars. Though, his favorite accessory is without a doubt, the fingerless gloves and spiked-collar-like bracelets he wears.

PERSONALITY

Drake is easy to get along with, his humor carrying him far beyond friendly and sometimes right into annoying. His looks really don’t seem to match the personality, as he smiles quite a lot, and laughs a good bit more than that. More to the point, Drake always thinks the best of people until they get under his skin.

But while his humor and friendly nature is genuine, and an important part of his personality, Drake also has his serious side. He tries remain level headed when dealing with people like Jacoby Wilkes, or even Shane in the band Rapturatra. He also takes making music serious, not playing around as much as many that know him would expect.

As far as other things go, Drake is considered normal. Very normal, despite his sense of responsibility. He looks after his brothers, even though Parker hates to admit he is related to Drake (apparently the Goth-look is quite disturbing for his yuppie-middle class brother). He’ll do his best to take care of both of them, be it bailing them out of jail so they don’t have to tell Mom, or giving them a place to crash when they just need to get away from the family.

As for his sister, he’s the ideal big brother. Anyone that makes the mistake of treating her badly is sure to get a ear full from him, if not a personal introduction to his fist. He’s never missed an event, band and choir recitals, plays, award ceremonies, everything and anything that she is in, he’s there, like he was for his brothers.

Drake is seen as a jokester, a class clown. He’ll flirt with anyone if he thinks it will get him a better tip, and he’s good for advice. Like a bar-tender, he is your neighborhood, coffee-shop guru. People seem to know Drake well enough, even beyond his role as Rapturatra’s bassist (which is impressive if you ask him), and they know him as the ‘all around good guy’.

HISTORY

Drake’s childhood was one of the most mundane and normal childhoods you could imagine…if watching your dad die slowly from cancer was considered normal or mundane. Still, Drake thought it was going well, even if a couple Christmases were spent in hospitals, and birthdays were missed.

As a kid, Drake didn’t spend time playing with the other kids on sports teams or anything. Heck, he did good to run and talk at the same time (and still does good to do that, as his is a bit pigeon toed and trips over his own feet). Still, he had enough friends in primary to be called one of the cool kids. Mostly, though, Drake lived in his head and with cameras. He’d run around with a portable CD-player and take pictures of the world around him without much concern for what others thought about it. Music and pictures was all he really needed.

The last gift his got from his father, though, was a video camera, for his fifteenth birthday. Embracing it, he made his Dad a ‘family’ video, showing how he spent his time with all the kids and their mum, as well as a few of the not so fun fights.

When he died two months later, Drake spent a lot of time in his room…watching and rewatching the videos he’d taken. Their last time speaking had been, and quite the clique he knew, an argument…about his hair of all things.

It took Drake a bit to get over the loss, and his guilt…but when he did he took up learning to play bass and writing bits of music as an escape and therapy of sorts. From there he finished school, and went on to George Washington University where he studied Art and continued to play his music.

After GWU he ran into Jacoby Wilkes as he was looking for a bassist, and on a whim decided to give it a shot…since then he’s devoted his free time to the band and to his family, both in equal spades.

WEAKNESSES

Drake has a problem with being serious…he can’t be, and sometimes when he needs to the most. In fact, he’s got the hardest problem with taking death seriously, choosing to joke about it instead. He has trouble connecting with people on an emotional level, and even has been known to ruin a few relationships for being seen as nothing but a shallow guy. He second-guesses himself quite a bit, but more so when a situation rides on him making a good and right decision. Lastly, Drake’s worst weakness is his family; he willing to even go against his nature to both please them and protect them…nearly having given up his gothic, and music lifestyle.

STRENGTHS

Drake is a good friend to have. He it the type of guy that would shrug out of bed at 4 am to go bail you out of jail, and then not ask you to pay him back. He’s a good worker, careful to be sure he’s crossed his t’s and dotted his I’s. Mostly though, Drake is witty and intelligent. He’s got that level head that lets him think clear, even when he’s getting a little out of hand with his jokes.

GENERAL DEITY HISTORY
